Children's Museum of Houston
LUKOIL International Upstream West Inc. has been a sponsor for the Children's Museum of Houston "Free Family Nights" at Museum in 2015, 2016 and 2017. The Museum is considered to be the one of finest cultural and educational institutions in Houston with over 1.1 million visitors per yearand one of the best museums for children in the United States. Free Family Nights affords low-income families the opportunity to visit the Museum for free on an ongoing basis. The purpose of the sponsorship program is to support education of children as well as reduce the impact the effects of poverty on learning.
Energy day festival
LUKOIL International Upstream West Inc. participated as an exhibitor in 2015 and 2016. The Energy Day Festival is the largest annual free family festival in Houston showcasing Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) with over 75+ interactive demonstrations and exhibits. Employee volunteers interact with students to help connect school to careers in the Energy industry with practical activities to popularize science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Trees For Houston
LUKOIL International Upstream West Inc. has made donations to Trees For Houston to have 50 trees planted throughout the Houston community with LUKOIL nameplates located at the planting site to commemorate the donations. Trees For Houston is a non-profit organization that has planted over half a million trees since its founding in 1983.
Houston Food Bank
LUKOIL International Upstream West Inc. has participated in the annual gathering of donations benefitting the Houston Food Bank of Houston in 2014, 2015, and 2016 with plans to participate in 2017. The Houston Food Bank is the largest organization of its kind in the United States, feeding over 865,000 individuals by serving over 79 million meals each year. The generous contribution of LUKOIL International Upstream West Inc. employees ensures the success of this campaign helping to change the lives of those in need.
Houston Museum of Natural Science
LUKOIL International Upstream West Inc. has been a sponsor for Partners in Education in 2016 and 2017 to support the Museum's generalized education programming which includes Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) concepts.
Founded in 1909, the purpose of the Houston Museum of Natural Science has always been to "enhance in individuals the knowledge and delight in natural science and related subjects." The Museum is a major science learning center with over a half million school children visiting annually.
Energy Institute High School
LUKOIL International Upstream West Inc. sponsorship for the Guest Speaker Series at the Energy Institute High School in Houston. As the first high-school in the United States dedicated to preparing students for careers in the energy field, the Guest Speaker Series is an important part of the school's mission to align closely with industry to provide students with real world experiences to prepare for careers in the energy field.
